    Laptop

I have Toshiba laptop which runs perfectly. But, it struggles with 3d games...

The shop said i can't upgrade the graphics card...is this true?

I want to play Battle for Middlearth without the jumpy framerate.

I have 512 memory and it has a 3GHz prosessor

    Any ideas??

    thanks in adv.

Yes, Im pretty sure thats true. I have a same spec Fujitsu Laptop and the best upgrade you can do is probably flog your ram and max it out to 2gb or higher. You'll get a better performance upgrade but wont help your 3d woes Im afraid

      Dang!!

Thought that was the case. Part of me wants to flog the laptop and buy a new desktop.

The other half reminds me why i sold the desktop (space).

And...can I justify the hassle to somply play games!!?!?

      Thanks btw...

Probably true in that if the GFX chip is on the main-board the only option might be a new MB which, for a laptop, by the time you add in the labour, would cost you a small fortune. Like Bash said, up the RAM, but that's about your lot.
