which Broadband service should i get?

    hey guys gals,

i have just moved house and need to get broadband but i'm damned if i know what to go with.... NTL, BT Yahoo, Tiscali... i need a reasonably priced package and something that can stand xbox live and still have enough allowance left for ebay, large video and image downloads and uploads.

if you can point me in the direction of some good deals or just any advice on usage allowance that would be a great help.

    cheers

Telewest 10mb service is cracking - I can highly recommend it. Looks like you're stuck with NTL though which I think means capping !

Don't go with plus.net they were offering a cracking uncapped 2mb package with fixed IP address about 2 months ago so I jumped from Pipex (who were excellent, but pricey)

Then about a week after I got connected they changed their usage policy and applied a 30Gb/month cap on downloads. Doesn't affect me too much as I'm never likely to get near that, but I'm advising everyone and anyone to avoid them like the plague as their customer service and policies stink.

              Err no, Pipex bought them...

I've been with f2s for the last few months after Bulldog completely ballsed up my service, phoneline and acc but that's another, woeful, story.

Imo they are exemplary, ?24.99pm for 8Mb line with no caps and no min contract. Also will have 24Mb lines coming on stream shortly. Lastly they have very good cs...

cheers guys. looks like i might go with freedom 2 surf as they are thhe only ones i could find that are uncapped and they are reasonably priced too. the only down is the connection fee of ?50... but that would be made back in the monthly payments as they are cheaper than most.... again cheers for the help.
