You know, a friend of mine once bought a copy of Mario & Luigi for the GBA from eBay...he was tipped off that it was a fake when it said "NINTONDO" on the back of the cart.
And another friend bought a copy of Harvest Moon for the GBA from there...and when it arrived, the description on the back of the box talked about the "Brand new circuits" that it featured to race on.

I asked the seller (Donkey Kong Country 2) now about the two-digit number on the label. He replied that the label has three-digit number on it. Does that mean it?s a fake? Or do valid carts with a three-digit number exist?
I looked through my carts and they all have just a two-digit number imprinted.
@Distant Cousin:
The Metal Slug game was definitely a fake. I was able to send the game back to the seller and get a refund. Today I posted again about another game (Donkey Kong Country 2). Thanks nontheless!Last edited by Balou; 15-01-2006, 17:21.

I've just checked my EU copy of DKC2 and it only has two numbers embossed on the cart label, the number '12' just above AGB near the bottom right hand corner of the label. I have checked my other genuine US carts and they only have a maximum of two embossed numbers together. Strangely my copies of FF IV and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones both have '11' and 'E3' embossed on the label just above the Official Nintendo Seal.

Would you say the game in the picture below is a fake or not?
The seller says it?s the pal version, with manual.
or click here to go to the auction (German) itself
Thanks!
There ISNT any Game Boy Advance written on the cart, which is ALWAYS under the little groove bit above the cart artwork, dead giveaway there.

That's definitely a fake. Look how oversatured the artwork on the front is. Also the material the box is made of is incorrect. It looks very shiny to me. Official games don't reflect as much light as that.
Also official games were never supplied in plastic cases like that were they? The few GBA games I have were in cellophane bags.
The seller says it?s the pal version, with manual.
But yeah, to me it looks like a bootleg made from a Euro release.

Would be concerned at the fact this doesnt have it at all.

i have just bought some gba games for gba model AGB-001 for a console my daughter bought second hand. i bought games from a seller on ebay ( japane i think ) i put a game in console but nothing happened the box to the games says ( for sale, rental and use only in usa, canada, mexico and latin america ) does this make a difference? printing on game boxes etc is a little blurred but these only games we have. do you think it's something wrong with games or the gameboy advance itself as screen on console turns on and reads gameboy. we are in uk.

Has anyone got a US copy of final Fantasy IV Advance they could check against the one in this auction for me?

The rating on the box art doesn't look right and I don't know why
