    Street fighter zero 3 Dreamcast

My Japanese DC keeps reseting the game for some reason? However i thought the laser had gone but all other games are fine! I remember reading about a problem regarding SZ3 and Pal TV's but that wouldn't cause the DC to reset right?

I have it on pal too, but i would like to get it to work as i have all the capcom beat em ups of JP DC and it's a shame one is ****ed...

    Anyone have a clue?

    Regards,

    Jamie

If you have a first generation jap DC they're prone to overheating as the element sometimes pry's its way off the processor chip.

Does it happen with any other games??

If it's to do with loading then if I remember right Zero 3 doesn't like RGB cables

The other games are fine. Its not the DC as i have a few JP ones. It must be something to do with the RBG cable, but i just cant understand how it manages to reset the DC??

Yup I remember it well, It was just one of those things, I had it on launch and was gutted.

Quite sure it works with VGA or just standard composite.

            Yeh no worries,

I'm quite sure the problem is because Zero 3 doesn't support RGB, if I remember correctly I think Gigawing did the same too.

Have fun anyway, tis a great game

This is a well known problem with early Dreamcasts.

Mine does exactly the same thing and as far as i'm aware there IS an easy method to fix it.

Ah - My mistake, I misunderstood.

                    That's... bizarre tbh.

Sorry to go OT but are there any real differences between the DC and Saturn versions of this fine game?

Not really from what I can remember, The saturn version is a bit more fluid but thats pretty much all I remember about it

                            Yep, that's RGB compatible.

It'll boot up if you use a composite lead instead of an RGB one. I bought it not knowing about the RGB thing, and it proper narked me having to swap cables round for on game, so I flogged it and got the PAL version.

Why did Capcom do this? I know they did it to Vampire Chronicles, too. Doesn't seem much point in disabling the RGB for some games, and only for a particular region.
