    Component to VGA

    Sorry if this sounds dumb....

    Will this:

    be as easy as:

Console (via component cable) -> That Box -> VGA Monitor = instant progressive scan hi-def gaming

am I right in thinking that?

    thanks

Yes, but you'd be best off buying the vidigi one. www.vidig.com
I think someone had that converter over on AVForums and said it gave a really **** pic.
I've got a vdigi & it really is very good. Comes with Xbox component leads as well.

think it only works with prog-scan input so if any title doesn't support 480p then you will be playing on black screen...

on a PS2 and a Gamecube not sure on an xbox you usually have to select the game to run in prog scan mode....

can you set the ps2/gc to auto run in prog scan?

          cheers

ps: im very new to this sorry

with gamecube games you hold B the first time you boot up the game, then it'll ask you if you want prog scan or not. Then after that it will just come up when you turn on the game. Most PS2 games have to have it enabled in the ingame menus.

                  It's really easy.
Most Xbox games have it, I'm pretty sure the same goes for US GC games. I've heard it's a little more problematic on PS2.
Vdigi can only be bought from their website.
