Ordering from Yesasia.com

Well, I was thinking about getting 'Ossu! Tatakae! Ouendan!' for the Nintendo DS.

At Yesasia.com the game is cheaper than at Play-Asia, so I thought I rather get it there. However, I haven?t order from them yet and there some things I would like to ask first:

- What is your experience with yesasia.com?
- Will they mark down the value of the packages? Or: do you often have to pay customs when ordering from them?
- How is their customer service in case something goes wrong?
(Currently the game is only available within 7-14 days and I intended to pay via Pay Pal. So, if they are not capable of shipping the game within a reasonable amount of time, I was wondering how quick they are going to refund me the money...)

I've ordered a few things from them, including a Hori RAP (basically, a bloody massve and heavy package), Never had a problem personally. Definately the best company to go for when you want to order hardware, but they're just as good with Software as well to my knowledge (iirc, I ordered jump superstars from them, not a problem there).

I'm not sure about Germany, but over here in england they transport the item through some place and re-send it through there, so there's never a problem with Customs charges or having to ask Yesasia to mark it down from what I know.

As for dealing with cancellation, I'm don't recall the transaction by heart, but I did have to cancel an order due to it being the wrong product (payed through paypal, if I remember right). Quick e-mail exchange and it was done and dusted, although this is from a year and a bit back so my memory is hazy.

Deffo the best to go with, they blow PA out of the water to be honest. Better prices and better delivery and usually a goodie thrown into the delivery as well. Ordered LOADS of stuff off them never been charged import fees EVER. Really cant recommend them highly enough.

I ordered a white ps2 and it took 4 days, they upgraded my shipping to ups for extra security, I had to pay VAT on delivery but I sent them an e-mail, and they will give me store credit of the same value once I send them a copy of the VAT receipt.

I ordered a slim PS2 and took the free delivery option. It took about 4 days, was delivered by UPS and there was no import duty. Overall very good from my point of view.

I ordered an Asian PS2 at the beginning of the year and mine came via the free delivery route. It took 6 days from when I received the shipped email. I have had games arrive in 4 days with the free delivery option.

I think they must air freight all the UK orders to their Croydon office and then post them from there. The email comes when they are leaving Hong Kong. I assume that is what happens anyway.

Yeah, Royal Mail. Saying that, I've had a few bulky/heavy items arrive via courier. Still didn't cost extra though.

Thanks for your replies. I guess I will give them a try then. It sounds like they are really quick and reliable.

Just one thing bothers me a little:
On the game page of Ouendan it is stated: "This product cannot be cancelled or returned after the order has been placed."
Now, does that mean I cannot cancel my order even if the game hasn?t shipped yet?
I feel that?s a strange policy when they can?t guarantee you that the product ships as scheduled.

I now checked their help section and they offer VAT free shipping to the UK only. I think I will still order from them though.

how long do games take to be sent over ? also are items then sent by recorded royal mail as they could get lost

also just ordered a game and got a $5 coupon off anything, do you get them everytime as its only my first order ?
