psp questions

i'm wanting to buy a psp but have a few questions about it

i know any psp console can play any region games but these umd videos are region coded and will a jap psp work with uk umd movies ?

also which region is the better as i'd like to buy a few of these movies and any good sites to buy from ?

can you sort of rip dvds to use on a memory stick and is there programs to convert to the right resolution ?

also with games i know you can set the psp menus to english and was hoping that it would be like if you had a jap psp game it would display the game text in english or whatever language you had the psp set to ?

if i bought the white psp, the colour won't discolour ?

Some do, spiderman 2 does,others im not sure about, but i think umd loader helps with possibly other regions/ difficult discs

Well if your buying uk films, maybe just get a uk psp? Erm most sites accomodate umds now. Amazon, play.com

Yes, you can with pspvideo9, its free and uses the same codec as umds I think (avc) but you can only watch these on a 2.0

No, like the ps2 this wont happen, but a lot of games have a good mix of jap/english.
