    Deleting Search Engine Histories

    Hi,

need some help here. when i use google, all the previous entries for searches come up, including some.. ahem.... non-healthy ones. for example I type in one letter n, and searches involving different uses of the work naked come up..... you get the picture i think

anyway, could someone please be a lifesaver and tell me how to remove these searches coming up. dont really want these coming up everytime i use google. is it something needing to be altered in the computer settings.

    cheers

I think a program called CCleaner will do the trick. It will also delete all temp files like internet history, cookies whatever

You shouldn't need any external programs, as this can be done through the browser. Which is? For Firefox or Internet Explorer you need to:

      Firefox:
      1. Tools > Options > Privacy
      2. And then Clear All or Clear Saved Form Information

      IE:

Tools > Internet Options > Content > Auto Complete > Clear Forms. Again from the Internet Options you can clear your history and cookies etc.

As I don't use Opera, Safari or other browsers I'd have to hand over to some one else for those.

        Safari: Safari > Reset Safari

Resetting Safari erases your browsing history, empties the cache, clears the Downloads window, and removes cookies. It also removes any saved names and passwords or other AutoFill text and clears Google search entries.

Safari is amazing. I refer of course to the "Private Browsing" mode, also known by one blogging wag as "Porn Browsing" mode. Nothing is stored, so there is no dirty trail left on your computer...
