Please can anyone recommend a program that increases the volume of an mp3?

If it's just for playing, with winamp you can set the volume to go way higher in the EQ settings bit.

If you enable normalize when burning in most progs, it should make the quiet tracks as loud as the loud tracks.

It's actually a recording I made from Winamp radio. This was the first time I'd used it, which is why the recording level way way too low. I actually use iTunes for my music playback, as it goes well with the iPod, but even with the volume control in that, the sound level was very quiet. Mp3gain has done just what I need ? increased the volume by about 60% without any distortion!
