That blasted game setup thread has tipped me over the edge: I need one of those Samsung LCD TVs badly! The 26" model with built-in freeview is the one i'd like.
1. Empire Direct's buy now pay later offer seems very reasonable. Is there a catch? ?40 a month for 2 years is very affordable for me.
2. Is progressive scan easier on the eyes than interlaced?
3. Do the Samsung LCDs handle 480p well? I assume that they are more comfortable in 720p.
4. And SCART? Do SNES games look ok?
5. Should I wait for 5ms displays to come out or is 8ms perfectly ok? F-Zero GX would be a good test for this I guess..
6. Where will I put my centre speaker?
7. A few rogue Gamecube games don't support progressive scan. Can the TV force progressive scan?
8. Is it quite light or is it heavier than it looks?
