Wireless Internet

I recently purchased a new Sony Vaio FS 285M Laptop and have been having problems with wireless internet. At University and at home, the laptop takes ages to load up webpages compared to my old iBook and PowerBook G4's. My friends Windows based machines are quicker too. Any idea what settings could be hampering its performance?

Try a different browser like firefox, that way, if its still slow you know its a problem with the internet connection rather than Internet Explorer.

What kind of connection are you getting over the wireless? The wireless connection should tell you a percentage that signifies the quality of the connection.
