White PSP is it out in Europe?

I'm only asking this as I went to the MPH Show at the NEC yesterday and there was a fella there selling white PSP's. When I questioned him what region the PSP was he told me that it was an European model as opposed to a UK one. I couldn't see the box clearly enough to check what region it was. So is the white PSP out in the rest of Europe or is it still Japan only?

i think there will be as theres a giga pack (1 gig memory stick) coming out in japan and think it will launch over here when the xbox 360 comes out
