    Another Stepdown thread!

    Hey!

I walked into a local store today looking for a step down converter, I found one, however on the box it says suitable for 115v. I asked the clerk and she said it also works with 110v. I am going to us it with the Xbox 360. Is this OK? Why does it say 115v?

Also does it matter if i buy a 500va step down with the 360? It won't overheat or anything will it? Because the only other option is a 250va.

    Thanks a lot!

115 should be fine. 500va will run nice and cool. Which shop? How much?

it is $178 AUD. Very exspensive, but needed. Charles, may i ask what the 115v means? We know the US use 110v don't they? The clerk said 115v is fine as you said, why is this? Can you please explain it to me? And is this ok? will the xbox 360 psu run at 50 HZ? On that picture doing the rounds it says 47-63Hz. Is this ok.

          Thanks!

Ask yourself this: For what possible reasons would Microsoft have given 3Hz leeway either side of the most used 50Hz and 60Hz?

Ask yourself this next: Is 50Hz located somewhere between 47 and 63? Read what you've written. You've answered your own question.
