I pre-ordered an X360 from game - I think it's safe. But now i've changed my mind and im desperate to grab a US machine instead (for RR6 and DoA4 before xmas)

do I stand a chance of getting one anywhere?

I guess its quite possibly you could get one, assuming the replenishment of units in the US is quite rapid, but who can really say for sure?

I've noticed on a couple of sites the figures of units available to the US in some stores are becoming available and of course they are supposedly not what's expected and so people seem to be worried!

To be honest you might be better off keeping your UK order and just waiting - you could easily find yourself paying an overpriced premium just to play 2 games a few weeks early!

Like you I really want DoA4 and Ridge 6, but (though to be honest I am still in the deciding stage) getting a US machine just for those is a bit ott!

Having a UK machine and waiting will have more benefits in the long run I hope - if it goes wrong (which it might you never know), walking into stores to get games on release, more readily available second hand market etc etc

I think the launch titles we will get will be enough for know.

Also you never know (especially with DOA) they might add some exclusive content, like more suits etc.... Didn't think about that did ya!

Lets face it you should be able to flog your 360 AND make a profit before christmas if you really want to get a us machine at some point anyway
