Which PS2 version do i have?

    Hmm - that quite a high rated soldering iron for doing console mods. Really you want something in the 15-30 watt range, otherwise you run the risk of lifting the tracks on the PCB or damaging the chips from heating them too much.

        i used a 15watt as that was what the installers recommended with a fine tip. you can get one of these places that sell chips

          Yeah, it'll cost you something like ?10 - they're not expensive.

            Ameer,which one of the 3 Romeo fix's would you attempt? There's nothing wrong with the last one no?

              Sorry, should have mentioned that - I just use the easiest one (number 3).
              One other thing - IIRC when fitting a MI chip to an NTSC machine there's an extra wire to solder (H).

                Hey ive want to build my playstation with the matrix infinity chip, I know that my playstation version is version 9. I readed that if you got a version 9 ps you need to build a Romeo fix too. Can someone help me by building this ps with the matrix infinity chip??
                My English is not very good, i am from the Netherlands.

                I hope that there will be someone to help me,,,
