Will my XP get upset with video card swap?

I have a PC in the study and the TV in the lounge.
There's about 20 foot between them.
I don't really want to buy a 20 foot RCA cable and audio cable to watch TV output, but my current cideo card doesn't have TV Out (I don't think, although I will check just in case).
I have a card that has TV Out, which would necessitate swapping the cards over.
I know that XP gets ****ty if it finds new hardware and then you have to refresh the install so that it works properly again.
Will it get upset in the case of swapping my video card over temporarily and then swapping it back later?
Perhaps the only way is to give it a shot, but I thought I'd ask first in case anyone had answers.

Yeah it will, you'll need to uninstall the current drivers and put the correct ones on when you swap the cards. Then everything should be fine.

If its an Nvidia or ATI cards you are swapping (Nvidia to ATI or via versa.) it will be fine, XP should also detect most other cards fine, I would get the latest drivers and install them though if you want to play any games!

        You should be absolutely fine.
I've done that once or twice...
The main problem is going to be the hassle of wiping the old drivers and reinstalling the new ones.
You might not even need to, but you sort of should...
Try Driver Cleaner Pro if you like.

Hmm, that might be a bit of a git, coz I know video drivers can occasionally be a pain in the backside.
The card I have now is a GeForce 5600, I can't remember what the old one is though, but it's possibly my old Matrox G200. I think that card is PCI, so I could put both in at the same time.
Would that cause conflicts or could I happily just install both and choose the video adaptor to boot to in the bios (coz there is an option to check AGP or PCI first)?
