    It should work fine.

Go 720p, as that monitor won't bo 1920x1080, and 1080i is arguable inferior for games anyway.

Grab a tape measure. It will be 19 inches across the diagonal. With TFTs you get the full 19 inches as well, unlike CRT quoted sizes.

Your not going to get a bigger screen for the relatively small price limit you have anyway, so go for it.

btw you may want to look into the Samsung Syncmaster range... I hear they are good, and the DVI is HDCP-compliant, so it'll be fine for PS3/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD too.

Why is everyone so worried than XBox 360 won't look good on normal TVs? Check out this screenshot, one in Hi Def, one isn't. Both look AWESOME.

If you do get the Dell let me know how it is, and also i'd like to know if you can rotate the screen for tate mode on shooters.

I think the one on the right looks far superior - much sharper and more vibrant colours.

                  TATE mode?

You mean we can move the tv up right and do 2 player on better side view?
                  that be fun for FPS...
                  how is that done?

Btw insane no offence but them 2 pictures are very diffrent.. the HD TV is well worth the money if it looks that much greater.

That picture does not really represent the difference between HD and SD very well at all... in reality, HD looks far, far better than SD, much moreso than the minor difference seen in the picture.

I read a review on TVS with s-video and they say some gamse are unplayble due to darkness.

is S-video on old normal tv's right?
As long as i get a HD TV like that dell one and use the tv cable taht comes with the 360 I should be fine right?

S-Video is common on American/Australian TV's as they never got Scart. It's a tad bit below RGB Scart in quality.

And yes, I can see no reason why that Dell screen would not work.

I know people say when pc gaming for a tft get a 8ms or lower..

                          hmmm

                          Any advice?
