    Dumbass VGA question...

Ok, no sniggering at the back...

I'm kinda tempted by a 360. I believe that a VGA connector will be available so that computer monitors can be used. Now, how can I tell whether my rather aged monitor (LG Flatron 775FT) is going to work with the 360? The monitor has it's lead kind of stuck in the back, the other end fits to the PC in an, er, fairly normal way. In other words, there is no socket at the back of the monitor. Where would I connect the VGA lead in all this?

the end that fits in the back will plug into the 360 lead. and that model goes up high enough resolution wise to support it, so it wil be fine.

The Xbox 360 VGA cable comes with a "gender bender" in the
pack so you don't have to worry about whether your monitor only has a male cable attached, or one that's removable.

Also includes an RCA to 3.5mm adapter for audio, which is nice.

I haven't looked at it, but I'd imagine that it'll be a female adaptor that you can plug in a male cable to. That's how the DC's VGA box was.

Either that, or you can buy a male to male cable: http://www.clickonit.com/product.php...00&c_f=froogle
        or female to female adapter:

        depending on what you need.

Thanks for the info : )

I'd reconciled myself to the probability that the 360 wouldn't work with the monitor, so this is a turn up for the books. Now I've got to deliberate al over again...
