UK PS2 Network adaptor question

Just a quick one.

Will I be able to use a UK PS2 network adaptor on a modded jap machine?

As the UK kit is released into the shops next week (11th) I may as well get one of those if it works.

it would work, i run my uk network adapter on my modded machine and it works fine.

it just depends wether sony will put any detection of modchips into its online service ?
