I'm not sure if this is the same problem, but mine installed fine and the system could connect to my PC, but I couldn't connect to the Nintendo server. Turned out that Peerguardian was blocking it. Once I switched it off it was fine.

What programs did you disabled Mole? Might help me analyse why I can't get connected either. The program installs fine, can find the DS, just can't seem to get an IP address when doing the test.

My xbox and my DS won't connect if my firewall is on, even if its set to allow them. I turn it off then connect, then turn on the firewall again. Dunno if that helps at all

I'm having the same problem, I dont have peerguardian tho, is there any other software that can prevent connecting to Nintendo WFC?

I've got the IP address, now in same boat, can't connect to server. I have turned off my firewall, Norton and realtime analysers and still can't get on for whatever reason. Could be AOL for all I know.

Can anyone help me, I'm completley stuck.

I tried for hours last night trying to get the 'Official' Dongle to work, I'm on AOL, I've tried making my connection a shared one disabling my Norton AntiVirus, re-installing the software numerous times.

Seems I can't connect to the server or my IP Address can't be found - it doesn't help that I'm a complete novice at Networking and all that stuff. Anyone in the same boat?

2 people on AOL - yikes.

AOL introduces a million and 1 other potential issues.

I would honestly advised rebuilding your PC and choosing a proper ISP. Sounds drastic, but in the long run, much easier.

Go for freedom2surf, choose a Wires Only package and you can select your own kit.
