For Progressive Scan games only, but yep.

Should be fine but if you've got a component input on your tv I'd suggest going for the official component lead instead. Should be a bit cheaper & imo picture quality is better. Also non-prog scan games will display fine using it too (but in 480i rather than prog scan).
