How to record console videogames on VHS ?

    Hey guys,

My brother has been trying to connect his PS2 to a video player and record the game footage. Presumably FMV sequences or classic moments in games. Anyway, he lives a long way away so I cant experiment with his setup to get it working. Additionally, I dont have a PS2 or VHS player in my room. I sold my PS2 ( DOH!) and well theres these things called DVD players which apparently replaced VHS players.

Anyone mangaed to record their gaming moments on tape? I guess the main question is, do you connect the PS2 through AV (Scart etc) and record from an AV channel or connect through the aeriel socket and tune in a channel and record that way?

    Please help.

    Many thanks as always.

either way is fine, though you'll get a clearer picture with a scart connection.

This may be difficult to explain, but which cables would go where, to record through the AV channels?

PS2 to SCART/Aerial input on back of video, then SCART/Aerial output connects to TV. Then put TV onto the video channel

And then put the Video player on the AV channel?
I'm guessing he has a 'modern' VHS player that has AV connections and not just one Scart and one aeriel socket.

Other than that, it really is that simple? I've been reading others' questions on the net and some say they get a blank screen. Theres no anti-copying thing on PS2's is there? (Macrovision is it?)
