XBOX1 HD Output

Connecting my original XBOX up via component (which I haven't got yet), and was wondering, how do I enable HD output from games?

If its pal you have to softmod to enable the NTSC dash.

I modded my xbox.

So, I just switch it in EvolutionX and then select the option in the NTSC (official) dash?

You'll need to use an application called Enigmah Video Mode Switchdisc to get it into NTSC mode. PM me if you can't find it. After that, you'll be able to go into the official dash and turn 480p, 720p and 1080i on or off.

Thanks for your help, but I need a bit more help:

I've used the Enigmah Video Switchdisc to change my XBOX to NTSC...no problem.

However, now, when I go into the official dash...where are the HD settings? I looked under settings>video and although the PAL options had gone, all I could do was select 'normal', 'letterbox' and 'widescreen'?

Are you connected via a Component Cable? They won't appear if you are connected with anything else.

Whoops. I try for days and then withing seconds of asking for help, I get it.

Would have helped if I'd put my component lead in.
