    360 headset

Seems the 360 headset isnt as good as the old xbox one. We all found it had loads of distortion and echo, you really have to move it away from your face a fair distance to get any decent results.

We found if you unplug your old xbox one out of the connector plug it works a treat on the 360.

Yeah that old one is far better. Easier to wear and sounds much clearer, glad i kept mine now.

Same with me as well. Only tried it with PGR3 though so didn't know what it was like on other games. I'll give the my old snapped-glued-on-headsets a go tomorrow.

Apparently the echo fades if you turn the headset volume down a little. I think you can do this in the dashboard? I'm glad you can use the old headset... makes my decision to grab a core a lot easier, since all I'd need extra was the hard drive (proving a bugger to find).

My 360 one crackles like a bastard.....

Didn't realise that I could use the old Xbox one I got in the old live pack Game sold me with my 360, thought it was useless, so thanks to this thread

Yeah same here . New one its utter shi8t. Old one much better though even that is on the quite side .

Yes you can use the old one but you can't use the mute or volume controls(that part that slot into the joypad

I have a Plantronics Halo 2 headset and it's very comfortable, so it would be a waste if I couldn't use it when I get a 360.

                      There is also this solution:
