Getting the 360 onto my home network/Media Centre issues

How do I stream my pc -> 360? Windows media centre? I can't seem to get the 360 onto my home network!

    Any ideas?

You need to go to http://www.xbox.com/pcsetup and follow the instructions to set it up. Takes about 15-30 minutes.

Won't work, all I keep getting on the 360 with the test is:

      Network Adapter : USB Wireless
      Wireless Network : Connected
      IP Address : Confirmed
      Compuiter : Failed

When I go to run windows media connect i get "Windows media connect could not be started. It might not be installed correctly".

Then it opens but I cant do anything

      Any help?

I get the same problem as you Jebus - there's no firewall running on my network for LAN IPs, except I'm failing at the setup on the PC, says it can't find the Xbox360 console :/

Same here, its failing because it says the 360 isn't on the home network, which is bizarre since it clearly must be since I'm using my wireless connection to access XBOX LIVE.

                1. Uninstall your current Media Connect via Control Panel > Add or remove programs.
                2. Make sure you have .NET framework 1.1 version.
                3. Download the proper "PC Connect" version of media connect for X360 from XBox.com.
                4. Run the "XboxXPSP2-ENU.exe"
                5. follow the set up menu during the install
                6. Stream music and pictures to your X360!

Make sure you set it to automatically start sharing folders on win startup, otherwise it will not connect once you've rebooted.

Tis a fantastic feature, was streaming music and looking at my wedding snaps wirelessly on my tv last night. May invest in an OEM copy of media centre, and get the full experience !

Starting those services listed on the link Jebus posted sorted it out.

                        Media Centre please help

dunno wether to ask in here or the other folder but i'm having trouble conecting to media centre. Its the first time i used it. When i test the connection, the xbox finds the network adapter and IP address but fails on computer connection. I've allowed media centre on my PC to accept the Xbox.

Also the 360 gave me a code which said i needed to use when setting up on my PC, but it never did.

                        Please help......
