    Snes Rgb?

I managed to get hold of a modded N64 and had an official RGB scart lead adapted so I could hook it up to my TV.

I was always under the assumption that the SNES could output an RGB signal as well. However when I use the adapted lead with my SNES nothing appears.

My SNES is a machine that I bought when they launched in the US.

Any help gratefully recieved so I can play Super Metroid in glorious RGB

Something to do with the lead? My US SNES produced a good RGB picture with a standard cable.

You say the lead is modded? I'd say that's the problem.

My Super Famicom worked fine with an (unmodded) Official PAL GC scart lead.

So will my unmodded SNES output an RGB image through an official RGB scart lead then?

Would save me some headaches as I could just use my Cube one.

                But not a PAL SNES?

I only removed the capacitors from your lead - you should still get an image from your SNES (although in my experience, most US "brick" SNESes give an overly-bright image when using a cable without capacitors). Does your SNES work ok via a composite/s-video connection?

You should also get an RGB image from a PAL SNES now that the caps have been removed from the lead.

It works fine for the N64 and thanks for adapting the lead

I get no image at all from the Snes but its fine through composite
