Ikaruga or P.N.03?

Need a good old hardcore shooter for the start of my uni holidays in about a weeks time. I've read lots of reviews of both but I thought I'd ask you lot as well; which of the above should I go for?

Man, comparing these two games is like comparing pizza to curry, they are both different and good in there own ways

I prefer Ikaruga (it is pretty hard though)

PN03 is also a fine game but ikaruga has more playabilty for me

I've only played Ikaruga, but can only say good things about it.

They are both pretty different games. I found Ikaruga slightly over rated by the press. It isnt this generations best shooter, but still pretty good.

P.N.03 was very disappointing for me. I can kind of see the appeal but it wasnt 'fluid' enough for me. I probably needed to give the game more time than I did, but I just didnt click with it.

Well I'll represent the PN3 portion of this debate. I haven't played Ikaruga yet. But for my $$$ Pn3 was well worth investment. When you first start out, you suck and die and you get shot.

But over time. You get timing and your skills get better and soon enough you beat the game once, twice, and maybe a third. I thoroughly enjoy it and play it when I can.

To be fair you should be comparing Ikaruga to Mobile Light Force 2 or something.

Ikaruga is brilliant. A perfect game. There are so few titles that are so flawlessly built nowadays, it's a real breath of fresh air to see a game so slick.

Well I've got both and like both - but as pointed out previously they are very different. But if I had to choose just one it would be Ikaruga. Great fun, challenging, good looking.
