    Where's the dvi connector?

just realised, there's the standard component/composite(spit) cables, an rgb scart and a vga adaptor but where's the dvi??

is one being released at all or what? if i CAN get a nicer quality than vga then i'd like to be able to use it (when of course i can acquire a 360 )

    No such thing fella

    Stolen from a TeamXbox FAQ:

At the moment, Microsoft does not plan to offer a DVI or HDMI pack, but it may be available in the future. Todd Holmdahl, Corporate Vice President of the Xbox Product Group at Microsoft, elaborated, ?We?re poised to hit the sweet spot of the HD market at launch and as the market matures, we will provide an HDMI for our customers when it makes sense. The reality is, you don?t need HDMI for HD gaming.?

You can get VGA - DVI adapters cant you, but still going from analogue (sp) - digital

Don't mean to sound like an asshole, but this topic has come up every 2 days since May :P

Current accepted reason is that the 360 has an analogue scaler, it would have to convert the signal to digital, which would be pretty pointless.

Don't know how true that is mind.

What TV do you have? It might be DVI-I, which would be fully compatible with the 360 VGA cable with a simple adaptor.

i couldn't find any specific threads on it... forgive me oh tome of 360 topic knowledge.

i was just wondering, dvi is supposed to be the best connection for the console, why would i got out of my way to pay for something which isn't as good? seems pointless. but anyway, i'll accept your answer... asshole

I'm sure you know I was messin'

But yeah, it's pretty mad of Microsoft not to think to offer some kind of solution there, especially for people with DVI-only sets =/ Then again, it's better than the PS3 situation, where we've yet to hear them talk about anything but HDMI... which is worrying...

Nothing has been mentioned of it. The paranoid part of me wonders not, given the machine is so Blu-Ray centric.

                We shall see.
