UK plug Adaptor?

I bought a German 360 and obivsouly will need an adaptor.

Anyone know where I can buy a reasaonbly good quality one?
Ebay seem to be cheap ones I'd rather get a little better quality one.

Also how are Europe wires done? is it same as our's with just a diffrent plug?

can I just take the 2 pin plug off and fit a normal 3 pin plug or is that a bit too much?

Any advice greatful.

What does the 360 mains cable look like? Is it one of these weird ones? (the xbox 360 end that is)

I think it's got a big fat connector like a 'kettle lead' only slightly different.

Are these Euro to UK adapters just that.. an adapter? There's no conversion or anything going on, right? You're simply changing the shape of the plug on the end.

It's just a physical adaptor. The post office near me sells them. 'Travel Adaptors'.

I was thinking that, but then the ones available in the UK would be for plugging UK stuff into Euro sockets, not the other way around. maplin or ebay are probably your only hope.

My post office had both types. Got an adaptor to plug my USA Oppo DVD Player into a UK wall socket there, and they had Euro types too. I recall seeing them in Asda too.

How annoying the 360 has some wierd-ass custom cable. Pulling a Nintendo on us they are. There's no need for that portion to be custom, as it's not a part of the power brick.

Maybe it's quadruple reinforced so that it doesn't somehow set your house on fire.

I bought a nice Euro to UK adapter on ebay. The wee euro plug clips inside a hinged UK-style casing and gets screwed in place. You'd never notice.

Can't you just use something to shove in the top pin and stick it in as normal? That's what I usually do for european plugs and I haven't blown anything up yet.

If its the 2 pin shaver type plug then adaptors should be available.

Thinking about it I've got an adaptor on my uk sony gear than converts the european plug into a 3 pin.

Does this lower like votlage or do anything other than just pysically changing the way it plugs in?

Is that ok to use?

Does it have or need a fuse?
What fuse is it to fit 13amp if I'm correct?
I saw one 2 ping adaptor and ti said it has a 1a fuse for the europe 1 pin plug...
1a? sounds bit low to me for 360......


If we have fuses in all our plugs in Uk what do europe use as I see no fuse in the 2 pin plug... Does their stuff just blowup without the saftey of a fuse LOL
