Overclockers.co.uk have that Acer monitor for sale on deal of the week (valid till Wednesday or Thursday this coming week) and also for an extra ?30 or so they have a very nice Viewsonic one too! - Has a DVI-D port and built in speaker, which might be crap, but who knows! Been tempted myself.

Anything that supports 720/1028 should be fine for "HD"
Although be warned, a 800*600 display will down scale the picture and a high resolution than the resolution the game out puts will up sample it, making it less prettyful =(
You could always buy a Dac and use it on a analogue Crt monitor

I'm pretty new to all this HD and stuff so I'm just wondering if you mean that the monitor I linked to wasn't a good choice? If so any idea on something more appropriate?

What is bad about it? Is it somehting major?

30ms is basically a lot more prone to blur than a 16ms or lower screen.

If you already have the monitor, you may as well give it a go and see if it's good enough.
