    Freeing up Storage (GB)

Hiya, someone told me that 7gb out of the 20gb (harddirve is reserved) can someone tell me if this is correct, as that seems a awful lot in reserve, is there a way i can free it? Thank you.

You can free just over a GB of it by deleting the crappy preloaded movies and music files. A huge chunk can't be touched though =/

It's probably only about 18GB in real-terms anyway, 13 or 14GB of which is accessable.

360 can read files from external USB device, such as an external USB HDD, or even Mp3 player... just use that

Alternatively you can just connect it into your pc and stream the music from there

Oh and how sweet that function is. Even the wife has been blown away by the ability to stream our wedding pictures with a little bit of nice music, from the PC through the 360 to the TV at the same time

Only complaint I have about it, is the music is stopped if you change from say the dash to a game or a game to the dash, I would far prefer if it would just continue streaming until I said STOP

When i got the machine on friday i plugged my ipod in which was great apart from the piss poor battery running out an hour later.

Now i'm streaming the music from my pc and have 50gig on tap. Superb

Hate how you can't just browse Mp3's by file name and directory mind... it tries to be fancy by sorting everything by Artist/Album, and just ends up taking me all the longer to find one specific track in my 20GB of largely ID3-less files...

Yeah that is a little annoying, I'm listening to an album then I finish playing Fifa or something and go back to the dash, I have to then re-queue up the album since it "resets"...

You can make custom playlists by makeing them in windows media player ad saving it. The the xbox will pick it up in saved playlists thought that was a nice touch.
