AVI/Xvid to MPEG converter

Hey guys,

As I have this rather sexy media center extender for my 360 up and running, I was just wondering if anybody knew of a good program for converting AVI's and Xvid files to MPEG, so I can watch them on good old Bertha.

Your help would be much appreciated.. cheers!

WinAVI Video Convertor is awesome for all types of movie conversions. Although its a shareware, and converting using the shareware gives a 'Register to Remove' sign bang in the middle of the entire movie.

If it's mpeg1 you want, this will do the job. Plus, it's free.
It does mpeg2, but only for 30days.

There are other, but the above is easiest and works great.
