Xbox Live profile question

I got a Xbox 360 been paying for a bit and gained a few achievements.

I have decided to join live and using a tag I created online. When I sign in using the tag I created I lose all my achievements

Anyway of gaining back my achievements? I want to migrate my current achievements to my new tag, is this possible?

I don't think you can transfer achievements, but you can pay to change your gamertag. (I think about ?10? It's so people don't do it often)

However, seeing as you've now created another gamertag with the name you want, this may cause a bit of a problem. (might have to change that one as well, or pick something else)

That's odd - I'm sure I did the same thing and all my achivements were kept. Not that this is any help to you of course. I think the fee for changing your gamertag is about ?5, I did it, and don't remember it being as high as ?10 anyway.

I think you have to log in with the profile you want to use then choose Join Xbox live. You can only do the free trial once though, so If you want to keep You acheivements you will have to buy a subscription
