    Backwards compatability

    Just picked up a core version and I was wondering if you needed the hard drive to play xbox games or would a memory card suffice?

    you do need the hard drive to play xbox games as its store the emulation software for each game

      Thanks for the quick reply. Just need to start searching and praying for one before xmas

        And of course every original Xbox had a hard drive, so any system emulating it will need one too.
