Changing your Gamertag on the 360

I'm just wondering, if you change your gamertag via the option on the 360 will it transfer your acheivements and friends etc over to the new account?

Also, what happens to your friends who have you on their list? Do their lists get updated with your new name?

It deletes your save games for a start... so it's not really worth it is it :P

Why would it delete your savegames? If it does, that's very very stupid.

Why would you want to change your gamertag? You mean change your gamertag name?

You can change your gamertag name using the dashboard but it will cost you about ?8.

I changed my tag and everything was transferred over, no problems.

Yeah, I meant changing my gamertag name via the dashboard. I take it all your profile was transferred over OK as well?

Did people who added you to their list become aware of your new name?

Your name will auto update to all friends.

Then they wonder who the new one is and remove it!
