Really? I could have sworn is was progressive ready when I looked at getting one. Oh well.

I looked into this when I got my Loewe and found this useful:

AFAIK the electronics & tube in the Memo & Aventos are identical.

I went for a 28" model in the end though (lounge too small), which can not take a vga upgrade card.

See what happens when you approach the forum with a problem. You end up buying a new peice of kit and spening loads of money.

          Ah well.....you won't be disappointed.

I have a Grundig Xentia with VGA, the manual says it's max is 640x480, but it runs at 848x480p@60hz (16x9 NTSC resolution) and the results are quite brilliant.

I didn't understadn how it could work until I read this article. Previously I was amazed at my Saur RGB lead for cube, but the 360 on VGA blows it away.

I also have a DELL lcd 19inch "Ultra Sharp" and the picture is miles better on the TV.

            Weird. But true!

True. But I had to get something as I can't get enough access to my 360 when it's in the sitting room...and it doesn't fit in my cabinet so is just sitting on the floor looking crap! Also I will be using it with my Mac Laptop so its an almost legitimate expense to my wife!

I'm hoping not. Will find out soon enough...

The monitor turned up today...pretty impressive. Luckily it comes with cables so the Mac laptop plugged straight in.

The 360 looks good when in-game but there is some bad smearing and softening which is noticeable in-menus etc.

Anyone know if this is normal?

You're sure you have the 360 running at 1280x720? It will default to 640x480.

You should still expect some blurriness though, your new panel is much higher res than the 360 can manage, so it has to interpolate.

Yes, I have the Xbox running at 1280x720.

Anyway, I guessed it was probably normal and as it doesn't really effect the in-game image I''m not really concerned...just wanted to check that it wasn't some hardware fault.

                    Cheers.
