    DS safe to take abroad?

I have never ever taken a handheld abroad before! Will be taking it to Egypt soon. When can I play it on the plane? Is it safe in hand luggage or best in case? Does the x-ray machine bugger it up? Can I charge it up via a foreign plug socket?

My missus took her DS to the states and it worked a treat on the plane, nae hassle and the states security was as tight as kylie's pants!

She used a travel adaptor on the plug and it worked thing

one thing that bugs me about the DS is that you can't use normal batteries - so if the DS runs out of power you have to have a socket near by!

I was playing Ouendan, Nintendogs and Mario Kart on my DS last month during trips to and from the US, and no problem at all.
