    xbox 360 live NAT settings

i have been trying to get on to xbox live for the past few days but have
    encountered problems.
i have the BT voyager 205 ADSL modem with an xbox 360.
i have tried Call of duty 2 and that seems to connect fine but is often
    extremely laggy.
pro evo soccer 5 seems to be ok when i get into a game but there doesn't
seem to be many opponents for me to play when i search for them.
Project gotham 3 keeps saying unable to connect to all players every time i
try to connect to a game as does perfect dark zero.

I was told it was something to do with my NAT settings, which are set on
STRICT which i think might be the problem.
i was also told by jashin to download the new firmware v 1.8. which i did.
the other thing jashin told me to do was set up a DMZ on the yahoo page where
    there would be instructions.
i anm unable to find these and wondering how i can set this DMZ up because
apparently my xbox 360 is hiding behind my router until i set this up???
A bit stuck really so any help would be great.
    thank you
    cheers peeps

Whoever is having problems with there BT Voyager 205 use this website to configure you xbox/360 and router.
Make sure any firewall isnt up and running or it will not work.

Just to point out that your firewall most definately needs to be on. As far as I know, the point of altering the settings is to disable the firewall on the connection to the 360 only, leaving your PC still protected.

            Thats not what BT said.
They told me to take down Nortons Firewall, after that it worked.
Then when finished you can put it back up again.

Ah, didn't realise you were using Nortons. I'm just using the firewall supplied with the router.
