PGR3 - Design flaw or my own stupidity?

Ahh, xbox live leaderboards - what a great idea, i can dedicate myself to one track and get the fastest time in the world!

You'd think so anyway, But i've just tried to rack up some fastest times and noticed that online leaderboards for the single player races are only for your Kudos score, not your time. Even on the 'race against clock' and 'fastest lap' events, it ranks you in the world based on Kudos.

Please tell me i've got to change a setting or something here, as a racing game which doesn't compare you by your times is just weird. I know the Time Trial mode lets you compare times but i fancy the single player missions like the speed camera challenge etc.

    Er what?

If you want to rack up lap times, go to Playtime->Race against the clock.

What i mean is, in the races where you have to get the fastest speed past the camera, it winds me up that the 'score' you get compared to at the end is your Kudos, which has no bearing at all on what you need to achieve for that event. The same with the hot laps. I understand it has the bog standard TT mode in it still but it certainly makes the single player mode a bit dull when you can't properly compare how you did.

It is true, some people moan that PGR has never been about the lap times but its a racing game for heavens sake, you should be allowed to compare lap times!!?
