    360 Hard Drive content

Ok,so i bought a HDD for my core, knowing that MS had taken up 7gb of the unit with their 'content'.I was eager to check the 'content' out and then swiftly delete it.

Well...where the hell is it? Hexic's there(great game)and alot of crappy music, which has allready been dealt with. But where's all the other stuff?

I went to the video section,in the media blade, but there's nothing there.I thought there was supposed to be HD video's and whatnot?

Anybody know how to access this extra 'content'?

Me and Crisp figured that a 7gb partition is reserved for game cache. But then what about if there's no HDD?

What does it say on Core systems with a retail HDD?

M$ will be replacing my HDD as it's buggered. I'll ask them tomorrow.

        why,whats wrong with it?

It says on the back of the box, that the HDD comes pre-loaded with 7gb of content including Hexic.

        'Tis very odd.

No it doesn't (I've got one on my desk ready to post), it says it's preloaded but it does not state how much.

I've seen that the HD had 13GB clear, that does not add up to 7GB used as a 20GB drive is not 20GB formatted.

Left speaker streamed audio is interupted by static. Fine when playing CDs and fine when my mates HDD is used instead.

It just won't do for games where music is loaded to the HDD (PGR3 + all arcade games).

There's a bit of music on the hard drive, some trailer things like the Adidas advert, and the rest of it (the 7GB or whatever) is reserved for caching and emulation of 360 games.

                yea,just checked and your right.

Still,i was expecting more than Hexic and a few crappy songs

Thanks for clearing that up for me guys.

Fallows - So how long is it gonna take them to fix it? and was your HDD part of a premium?

Do bear in mind that all 20GB drives, even on a PC, are something like 17.3GB, as HDD manufacturers take 1MB = 1000bytes, when a PC takes 1MB = 1024bytes.

It's a con. There should be a law to makes these companies refer to the actual real-life size measurement.

It's used for emulation profiles, game caches, reserved space for downloadable content and save games.... lots of stuff.

                      Isn't it actually 19.53GB? Not 17.

There should be a law for it, but nowt we can do since it's out now.

I think it's actually 18.6 real gigabytes (GiB). A fake hard disc manufacturer gigabyte is 10^9 bytes with a real one being 2^30 bytes.
