    Scart Splitter box thingy...

Right. I'm off to Uni (in theory) later this year, and I just know that my living quarters are going to be about as close to a a rabbit hutch as human standards allow. So, being the type of person who gets his priorities sorted, I've been wondering about how to squidge my consoles, a TV AND a bed into the room.

First on my Agenda is a Scart Splitter box. You know. The ones that allow you to plug multiple Scart leads into a TV. It minimises wire swapping, frustration, and lumps on the back of the head when I stand up too fast whilst still under a desk.

    What should I look for?

I was in some generic technology shop the other day, and they had some solid looking (read: metal) scart boxes with 3 input/1 output sockets, as well as traditional A/V composite receptors (one in, one out).

    It supported RGB.

So anyway. It's a tenner down from twenty, and I was wondering if any of you, in your sagely knowledge know about any other things I need to look out for. I mean, I'm finally going to be a student again. I'm actually going to have time to PLAY games... so I want to be able to see them.

    Heh.

The Argos one is the best mate -

Have a look through the catalogue and look for the one that is switchable, not automatic. Its not too expensive either.

Bear in mind, you'll need a decent scart cable as well in order to connect it to the RGB socket in your TV!

I use the RGB box from Argos (actually I use 2, and the quality is still brilliant). Fully RGB-wired and I've never had a problem with picture quality.

      It's this one:

      SCART Video Unit.
      Price ?9.75
      Cat.No. 534/0370

There's another 3-input switchbox but it isn't RGB - don't get that one

I use 2 of these in my room at uni and don't know how I'd cope without them
