getting set up with live xbox 360, what do i need?

ok, so i want to go on xbox live 360, mainly for the market place (buying games, trailers and such) what do i need?

to make things more awkward id like to do it wirelessly as i havent got a telephone wire anywhere near my room (and scince getting my wireless controler for the 360 ive had a growing resentment against wires).

• will the AOL platinum service and supplied wifi router (modem thingy) do?
• will the microsoft 360 wireless network addapter allow me to connect to the AOL router and access live?
• does the silver subscription come preinstalled on the console and is it free?

if anyone can help me out on these points it would be most appreciated
