      Just as a matter of interest, you lot who've received replacements, have you checked the serial numbers to see if it was a new unit? Same with the PSU, I wonder if they're replacing them.

        To add to this I think my wirless controller is screwed, it keeps turning off, tyhe game will bring up an error message telling me to reconnect the controller, I press the ring of light and it comes on again for 30 minutes, then again... it was working fine yesterday and the battery is brand new and on full charge.

            Whilst playing? If you don't touch it for 30 mins it'll turn itself off to save power.

              Nige,is it when you turn it on its as if the tv has not turned to the correct input,so you get a black screen? Happens to me aswell.

                yeah this is it, thought it was my TV to begin with. But I noticed when you have the black screen the ring of light on the console dosen't light up & the lights on the joypad just continually flash/rotate.
                Although after removing the HD today I am get the red ring of light as well!
                If you're having to turnit on & off, then back on just for it to work - something's wrong.

                  I work in retail and it worries me about retailers such as Game telling punters that they have to get in contact with Microsoft, Sony etc. This is 100% bull**** your purchase contract is with the shop who sold it to you, it breaks down etc within 28 days. Take it back get it replaced or get your money back. It is down to the shop to sort out the return not you.

                    I know this, and normally do take it up with the shop in question. Unfortunately, dealing with M$ seems to be the quicker option at the moment. Unless I want to wait until April!!

                        My ring of light doesn't ever come on along with the power button in the center not lighting at all. Not as bad as some peoples problems but it does mean the controllers are hit or miss on wheather they work or not. Anyway I get my box through tommorow to send it back and I'm just wondering if I'll get to keep my hard drive as I'll lose all my saves and I just got all the Farraris on PGR 3 and it'll be a shame to lose it all.

                            Went to Game, they said, either phone Microsoft and hopefully they'll replace it quickly, if not, wait for us to get more in stock and we'll be able to put one aside if you phone in.

                            But obviously, they dont know when more stock is coming so I phoned MS and I couldnt get through, some guy then answered and asked for my details and they'd call back..
