    Small-ish keyboard

Basically, my desk is very cramped right now, and I've not got the space for my nice Logitech Media Keyboard really. Does anyone know of a cheap, small keyboard? Nothing silly small or anything, just not one that's a desk hog like so many keyboards are these days.

If you just mean one without pointless media keys etc (and not small form-factor, like using laptop keys/layouts) then the Apple keyboard is fantastic. It'll work fine on a Windows Machine (the command key will work like a Windows key) but it's a nice "basic" one, and has the best tactile feedback I've had from a "modern" desktop keyboard. Looks nice too, which is good.

ebuyer.co.uk sell quite a few mini/laptop sized keyboards.

Dell RT7D50 if you can get it. It's what I use at work, it's a full-size keyboard with none of that media bollocks or wrist/arm/body/chin rests hanging off it and even 90% of the unused bits of plastic around the keys are shaved off. It also types quite nicely too, buttons aren't too hard to press and my hands don't get knackered on it like with so many other keyboards.

I'm using one at work too. yes it is quite good as you say, buttons do take a good thump to register though.
When first these arrived at work I thought 'WTF'

I put off using one for a long time, just didn't look quite right. Picture the scene if you will...It's a plush boardroom at DELL HQ...The GM asks his lead designer (who is being paid megabucks) what he's been doing for the last year to earn his salary......

Designer pulls out a broken keyboard from under the desk....'My new minimal design boss...saves us 50% on materials.'

          Boardroom buy it.

You can get away with anything these days it would seem.
