    360 VGA via Samsung 19"

ok heres my dilemma, Im at University and very poor but need a hd definition setup since my 14inch bush tv with a composite input isnt cutting it anymore

so i need some help Im considering connecting my xbox360 to my samsung monitor (SM913N 19" TFT 8ms 700:1 -1280x1024-). As I am a relative noob at using a monitor for a console I have a few questions:

    - can I connect my computer and the console at the same time?
    - I presume there is an official lead (due to stock shortages I obviously havent seen it)?
    - is my monitor suitable and will it be much of a step up over my excellent 14inch tv ?

I know they are simple questions although Iv come to the realisation that buying that HD Tv I want will be along way off (since im doing a Earth Science degree and have found all my money being put towards going to Ireland, America, Artic Sweden, Spain etc on field trips).

Thanks for any help you can provide

Sorry I'm not going to answer your question but I'm curious about doing this also - is it possible to set 360 games to 4:3 or will it just be letterboxed on a 4:3 monitor?

My monitor's a Hyundai L90D+ so it will be a similar situation to asnozz's.

Asnozz -There is an official 360 vga lead (& also a Joytech one) but they are in very short supply at the moment. Expect to pay 2-3 times the rrp on ebay! Play.com receive new stock of the Joytech vga lead (?11.99 delivered) every so often so might be worth checking every day or two.

The difference in quality between your 14" tv via composite & through a vga monitor will be very noticeable (night & day springs to mind!). The image will be pin sharp rather than a blurry mess and colours will be much better defined with no bleeding.

Myname - as far as I know some of the launch games include a 4:3 option so will display in full screen on your monitor but the ones that don't will appear letterboxed.

      Hope this helps.
