    GameCube Memory Cards

    Hihi.

I've been told by acidforblood that all of the saves on a GC memory card have to be from the same region. I just want to clarify this?

If so I'm gonna have to buy two more

As far as I know, it's just Japanese and English saves that won't live together. So one card for NTSC-US and PAL and one for NTSC-JAP.

Yeh, to confirm, PAL and US ones are compatible with each other, but Japanese ones won't go on that memory card so you'll need another card for those. If you put one on the other it'll ask if you want to format the card, which makes me think that possibly one set (JP?) is byte-flipped and the other isn't.
I have a 256 for my US stuff and a 51 for my JP saves, plus the AC one for AC, which is enough for me.

Just found this on Play Asia.

Note that only US/PAL or Japanese game save DATA can be stored on 1 card due to a different format used

        Just need one then ^_^

Well there are a couple of 59 cards for ??4.25 buy it now on eBay. I'm nto sure if that'll be enough though.

Ah well, I guess I could always get a memory card 1019 from Play Asia =D

Memory card 59's seem to fill up very quickly but a couple of memory card 251's would probably be more than enough to keep you going.

The 1019's are useful if you intend to play sports games such as Madden though as the game saves are 200+ blocks in size!

1019 should be good enough for every game you want to play if you don't play sports games

I've got one for my US saves and it's about 2/3 full and that's about 50 games on there!

Some popular non-sports games like F-Zero GX, Pikmin 2 etc still require 20+ blocks so MC59s are almost useless. Avoid!

A 251 is the minimum you should be looking at, unless you really only have a handful of games that will fit on a 59.

I've got 2x 1019s for my JPN saves, and a 251 for the US games.

I haver save files from JAP, USA and PAL games that live happily on the same memory card (251) and have done since I got my cube.
