LCD High def VGA issue - technical question

When i use component on my Sony Bravia 32" lcd everything looks great , however having recently tested an official xbox 360 vga lead via the PC connection, it looks stunning, but ther seems to be a 'framerate' problem. The TV recognises to signal at 1280X768 @ 60hz but every 2/3 seconds there is a slight 'judder' (noticable on moving background detail - it was tested with Ridge racer 6 which is liquid smooth); it would remind you of a DC/xbox game on the wrong encoded setting or unoptimised.

Not that big of an issue as component probably has the edge, but was curious to what might causing this (the lead is fine as it doesnt do this on a crt monitor)

    any ideas?

Does it do this in 1280x720? Curious as to if it's an artifact caused by the rescaling.
