    Headphone recommendations?

This seemed like the best place to start this, despite being for consoles... Ahem

I'm looking for some in-ear headphones for when I'm listening to mp3s/playing my PSP (woo a tenuous console link!) on the bus or whatever, and I'm not really sure what to go with.

I've been using the Sony Fontopia in ear things, but they've literally just fallen to bits, and I'm reluctant to go with them again for that reason. I do love the sound from them though.

Is there anything better/as good as them, or shall I just get another pair and keep on replacing them when needed?

if they're the ones i'm thinking of (and use) then yeah, they fall to pieces about every 6 months on me... i just send them back to sony for a new pair. they're nice and bassy which i like but poor quality, pity really.

Haven't used the Sony's but I swear by my Shure E2C's.

Both the build (been using mine for almost a year now with no probs) & sound quality is superb and they produce very good bass for their modest size. Pretty pricey though & damn uncomfortable the first few times you use them.

I use the AKG K 26 P which I would recommend for their low price but since they're cans, they're not what you're looking for. However, when I was buying headphones for my PSP, the Ultimate Ears super.fi 3 looked very tempting and have gotten good reviews too.
