    What would you sell?

Back in the day (before xmas) i had a smokey Jpn X-Box in the front room, and a Limited Edition Green Pal X-box. The Smokey i watched avi files of tv shows on,that i got from a bloke down the pub,and the green was a nice 'clean' X-box that i went on Live with.

Since getting a 360 i cant sign in on the green to Live,so it has become irrelevent (sp?),but the smokey is used all day, especially since geting a HD TV,as i can watch the HD.AVI files in all thier glory.

We needed a DVD player in the bedroom so i convinced the missus the crystal X-Box beat all the Arcam,Teac,Kef,Wharfedale,George At Asda players hands down.

But now, shock horror, what do i put in the bedroom, beneath the Sakura pink PS2?

Do i keep the greeny, because it is 'limited edition',or the crystal, which imo is much nicer?

I have been contemplating this for days,as i am ****e at making decisions, (thats why our daughter is called Clamidia).

Will the green ever become expensive, should i hold on to it because it is 'rare',or should i forget what the masses think and hold on to the crystal, which i have loved and nurtured since day 1?

Thanks Obi Wan Kenobi, your my only hope.

I have sort of the same problem as you.

Have a normal unmodded Xbox for PAL games, a Modded one for films and imports and a 360. Dont want to sell the normal one as it has loads of saves, and dont want to see it all go. So now Im left with a normal Xbox that barely gets touched.

However re: Xbox Live, I sign into Xbox live on the original Xbox without any problems. Might be something incorrect in your settings?

How did you manage that? What little I've seen of even XBMC playing DVDs didn't look half as nice as my mate's Arcam.

I can't see the clear green XBox ever becoming that collectable. Gamestation want a fair bit less than ?100 for a second-hand one in good condition with more games than you can shake a stick at, and I'm sure they would be trying to get more if they thought they could. Plus it's really very ugly indeed once you get past the 'limited edition-ness' of it.

I really should get my XBox modded to use with XBMC, but I can't decide if a chip or a softmod is the best way to go.

I was in Romford the weekend and Cash Convertors had a boxed Limited Green Xbox with 2 controllers for ?80 IIRC. The one in Gamestation in the window was shrinkwrapped with a few games for over ?100. The mind boggles.

Ditch the green my man. Don't quote me on this, but I can't see them (the greens) becoming, like, proper rare/expensive and all anytime soon, I doubt it'll put little Clamidia through college and all.

I spent so much money on hardware this (last?) generation and like you I can never make up my mind as to what must go, because of this I'm surrounded by various consoles and software, that I will never, ever use, but will I sell it? Of course not, because it may come in useful 'later' or something, well, that's what I tell myself.

          I'm such a ****ing idiot.

Give them both away, transparent coloured plastic is nasty.

Put it this way - the green is sufficiently horrid that I wouldn't swap you your chipped one for my black unchipped.
