when playing jap games on a uk gamecube, ikaruga and chaos field for two,do the games go full screen or play letterboxed, also does the gamecube connect through a rgb scart or just an av cable.thanks

    Painful punctuation mate >_<

Anyway, they will run at their native screen mode, which is 60Hz. You can use an RGB Scart cable.

I think the latest is v1.06B (with a big rather than small 'b')

I think the newest is 1.06B. Note that 1.06b is different from 1.06B.

I think the difference only effects one game though, so it's not worth worrying about.

Choas Field plays fullscreen (I still use Freeloader 1.04 )...

BUT Choas Field doesn't allow you to save on at all on a UK Cube, and god help you if you happen to have a memmory card in Slot A with any saves on it (it formats the memory card)

I would buy the US versions of Ikaruga/Chaos Field, you won't get any problems with memory cards. Plus you only need one memory card for both US/UK games. I really don't see the point in getting JPN versions of NGC games because just about every game you could want is available in English. The only thing going for the JPN versions is the packaging.

I was unaware Choas Field has finally been translated for US .

It had been Jpn only for some time, and a US port was looking increasingly unlikely.
